Mike SmithProgramme Manager
Mike joined the AoEC in 2009 having previously worked in the mainstream Financial Services Sector for over 20 years as a Personal Lending Manager and qualified (CeMAP) Mortgage Advisor.
Mike has spent the majority of his working life managing and developing teams and currently looks after the Systemic Team Coaching Diploma and Systemic Team Coaching Certificate as well as overseeing the AoEC’s recently developed ‘Team Connect 360’ team diagnostic instrument.
Mandy Golley
Mandy GolleyProgramme Manager
Mandy joined the AoEC in 2011 having formerly worked in banking and HR.
Mandy currently looks after our Advanced Practitioner Diploma and Senior Practitioner Diploma, as well as providing support for our work in organisations.
Sue Burston
Sue BurstonProgramme Manager
Sue joined the AoEC in 2007 and is the Programme Manager for our Coaching Skills Certificate and Practitioner Diploma programmes as well as being involved with our Corporate work and other ongoing projects.
Before joining the AoEC, Sue spent 19 years with the BBC in a number of finance and admin roles within the local, national and international Newsrooms. Here she gained invaluable experience of working with a wide range of people and situations and dealing with some very complex admin and finance systems.
Vicky Routledge
Vicky Routledge Events Manager
Vicky joined the AoEC Marketing Department in 2015 having worked in the charity sector for sixteen years and additionally brings a wealth of experience from voluntary activity.
Vicky enjoys organising events, developing information resources, managing teams, planning and developing processes and strategy. She has a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for developing and promoting events and services for a wide range of people. Resources have included websites, publications, newsletters and factsheets. Services include helplines, support groups and methods of data collection and evaluation. Her passion to achieve the best is portrayed in her attention to detail, organisation and desire for perfection and she loves planning and developing strategy, always in the pursuit of improvement.
Vicky has a passion for supporting people to become the best at what they want to be. With a degree in psychology, a certificate in Transactional analysis and a wealth of experience in the voluntary sector, she brings a creative energy balanced with a realistic planned approach.
She also loves a bit of baking and spends her spare time watching her children play a lot of football!
Claire Penny
Claire Penny Digital Marketing Manager
Claire joined us in January 2014 to support, create and execute marketing initiatives and campaigns for our coach training programmes.
In 2010 after 10 years in the Financial Services sector where she was responsible for the management of £100m commercial property portfolios, Claire took the plunge with her partner and utilised his 15 years of internet marketing experience by setting up a digital marketing agency. She has learnt the latest trends in search engine optimisation, online marketing and social media marketing and combined this with her personable skills to become an innovative marketing strategist for local businesses.

Claire is passionate about building strategic marketing campaigns, reaching new audiences, analysing results and supporting business growth.

Julia Russell
Julia RussellWriter in Residence
Julia is a PCC level Coach and European NLP Coach. Following a busy career in leadership, management and development of people across the globe she now works with individuals, teams and organisations in areas of cross cultural issues, managing change within an organisation, business performance, career planning/transition and personal development/self-management issues.

She is also a published author in the coaching field and published her first book in 2012 “And the Next Question Is …Powerful Questions for Sticky Moments.”
Julia loves traveling and writing and is able to spend more of her time enjoying both of these passions.

Vicki Peacock
Vicki Peacock Programme Administrator
Vicki joined the AoEC in 2014 and previously worked in administration and client/sales support for 25 years with roles as part of a team and as a team leader within the sales/mortgage and investment industry.
Vicki is also qualified as a bookkeeper. Within the AoEC , Vicki provides administration support to the Programme Managers.
Sue Simmons
Sue Simmons PA and Business Support
Sue has worked in the fast paced environments of the hotel, design and television sectors as PA at senior management levels. She joined John Leary-Joyce at the Gestalt Centre in 1990 and then worked as his PA from the inception of AoEC .
She is highly organised with strong multi-tasking skills which she uses to support the Business Team, dealing with bookings and admin on the Coaching Skills Certificate programme and Introductory events as well as supporting both the Directors and Marketing. In her spare time, Sue is a keen reader and passionate gardener.
