How does coaching work?Coaching concentrates on an organisation’s key assets, its people – both as individuals and as team members – and brings about profound changes at every level. It helps teams It helps individuals
Senior managers can learn to be more authentic, inspirational leaders, thereby giving rise to an increasingly engaged, creative workforce. And by releasing potential for innovation in teams, coaching promotes a more dynamic organisation overall. Since the beginning the AoEC had been committed to maintaining the highest professional standards becoming the only UK coach training company to be accredited by the three top professional bodies (ICF, EMCC and AC) as well as validated by Middlesex University.
What are the benefits?Coaching promotes business growth. It’s as straightforward as that. In almost every sense, an organisation that has coaching as part of its DNA has a substantial advantage over those that haven’t. It is now widely recognised that performance, productivity and ultimately profitability can be significantly enhanced when organisations make coaching part of their culture and business philosophy. Embedding a coaching culture in your organisation will:
Performance Coaching An effective coaching process will focus on the goals to be achieved, examine the current situation to identify the gap. AoEC performance coaches skillfully work with executives to facilitate their creativity in identifying ways to bridge the gap and achieve their goals. The coaches draw upon their experience to enable the executive to identify the most appropriate actions and set out a clear plan of action backed by commitment and support. Performance Coaching is a powerful tool designed to give individuals and organizations both competitive advantage and performance success.
Developmental and Leadership Coaching But often there are doubts or surprise failures, even for those who have been through a recognised leadership development programme. This is because they are unable to deal adequately with their bigger role. The issues involved are many: from the detail oriented technical specialist who cannot let go of doing it all himself to the abrasive high performer whose uncompromising drive and lack of attention to the motivation of others de-motivates her team and leads to sub-optimal performance all round. These people are limited, not by lack of goal focus, but by their inner drives and habitual behaviours. Our coaches will facilitate them to explore and resolve these inner blocks so that they can truly grow into their bigger role. Executive coaching works through the process of providing a confidential and non-judgmental environment where the executive is able to fully explore their situation, their ways of viewing the situation and the impact of the system on the situation. This process enables executives to regain their direction and focus, returning to their usual levels of performance and engagement with the organization.
