Coaching competency

Using the Academy’s unique competency assessment process you will be able to:

  • Benchmark your coaching capability against the highest standards
  • Map out your own two year coaching career journey with SMART objectives
  • Identify what training programme would best fit your personal learning style, experience and future goals
  • Gain valuable insights about your professional ‘signature presence’ from our psychologically trained executive coach faculty
  • Extend your personal awareness of what you can really achieve

Stage 1 – Application

  • Complete Online Application for the Competency Assessment Coaching Tutorial.
  • Attach your CV.
  • If you are also applying for the Advanced Diploma in Executive Coaching Programme please indicate this.

Stage 2 - Self-assessment Competency Questionnaires

  • Fill in four (4) in-depth Coaching Competency Questionnaires that cover:

    • Core Coaching Capability
    • Psychological Understanding
    • Business and Leadership Knowledge
    • Self-management Awareness
  • 2) At the end of each questionnaire you identify your strengths and developmental areas.
  • From this you begin to create SMART objectives by indicating how you might build on these strengths and what actions will be required to work on the development areas.
  • The questionnaires will also help you clarify which areas you do not want to develop.

 

 

Stage 3
In-depth, Individual Coaching Tutorial with a trained AoEC Faculty Coach

This is a 1.5 hour career coaching session with a psychologically trained executive coach from the AoEC Faculty Team. At this session YOU and the AoEC Faculty Coach will:

  • Review your four Self Assessed Questionnaires
  • Compile your list of core coaching strengths and development areas, drawing on expert feedback
  • With specific guidance, convert these into SMART objectives
  • Design a two-year individual Learning Plan
  • Identify which coach training programme would best fit your needs*

*For Applicants to the Diploma in Advanced Executive Coaching Programme, the Final Selection decision and acceptance onto the programme will be made at this point.

These free Open Events are a forum for you to:

  • Discuss the driving forces behind the increasing popularity of coaching.Help you identify whether executive coaching fits your personal, professional and organisational agenda.
  • Meet us - the faculty, staff and graduate alumni of the AoEC.
  • Publicise and provide more information about the AoEC’s particular programme and approach
  • Provide a forum for you to network with other like-minded professional.
  • Follow-up the afternoon with a complimentary phone coaching session with our faculty. This will help you clarify your personal & professional goals and ask further questions
