Online Senior Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching

The aim of this diploma is to improve your effectiveness as a coach, getting better results – faster. Through improved understanding of the theory and hands-on practice with your coaching model, you’ll improve your confidence, capabilities and your eligibility for further credentials with the International Coach Federation (ICF) or European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC).

What’s involved

The course will give you access to a wide range of theories, methods and tools as well as live coaching practice to stretch you in your thinking and approach.

The theory half of the programme will be delivered online. Spanning 33 weeks over 10 months, the programme includes at-home access to study when it suits you and weekly facilitated discussions by AoEC Faculty.

The other half will be monthly live peer practice sessions and regular practice with coachees outside of the modules. This will be essential as application of theory will be a key part of supervision.

The Online Senior Practitioner Diploma is comprised of eight modules structured over 10 months.

Who’s it for?

We want to maintain the highest quality of participants so you will benefit enormously through learning from each other. This means that all participants should be:

  • Experienced coaches at ACC level actively practising with 50 hours of client coaching
  • Constantly refreshing their coaching model and style of coaching
  • Experiencing regular supervision – individual or group
  • Self-managed learners

Coach Training Hours

Participants can achieve 81 accredited coach specific training hours (ACSTH) with the ICF, if all elements of the programme are completed.

Support for applications to the EMCC is in the form of a statement of attendance showing the number of hours completed and a factsheet outlining the course details.

We can provide further course information to participants if requested by the ICF or EMCC.

John Gray
John GrayFaculty
John is a senior member of the AoEC Faculty. He is passionate about supporting people in their personal and professional development and personal awareness and change. He brings a wealth of experience and empathy to support new coaches in their learning journeys and helps them to find their own coaching style and approach. John’s commercial insight and experience was formed as a practising solicitor. He has also worked at the Quaker United Nations Office in Geneva, in grassroots peace building in Burundi and has established a community mediation service. John runs a successful freelance organisational consultancy offering, consultancy, facilitation, non-managerial supervision and coaching. In addition to his coaching, and his faculty role with AoEC, John is a part-time lecturer in leadership and management at the University of York’s Centre for Applied Human Rights.
Moira Halliday
Moira HallidayDirector of Training
Moira is our Director of Training and joined the AoEC in January 2009. For over twenty years she successfully combined organisational consultancy, executive coaching and psychotherapy. Running her own business, Moira worked with CEOs, senior managers, leaders and leadership teams – focusing on developing effective leadership skills, organizational learning, managing change and enhancing personal effectiveness.
Moira is trained in Humanistic Psychology and Process Oriented Psychology as well as being a trained mediator, experienced in conflict resolution and developing mediator training programmes.
