AoEC Group Supervision Programme
Illuminate your coaching practice
AoEC Group Supervision
Group supervision at the AoEC supports you to deepen your coaching practice, gain new perspectives and enhance your professional standards. Facilitated by trained supervisors, these sessions offer a safe space to reflect, share and learn with your peers.
Coaching bodies such as EMCC Global, AC, and ICF recognise the value of coaching supervision for practising coaches. Supervision is a condition of coach accreditation with EMCC Global and AC, and you can use your supervision hours towards a credential renewal with the ICF.
If you wish to work with organisational clients then a commitment to coaching supervision, as well as your coaching certification and coach accreditation or credential, is a common criterion of the coach selection process.

FAQs
What is group supervision in coaching?
Group supervision is a facilitated process where coaches come together to reflect, share challenges and gain insights with the support of a coaching supervisor and their peers. It is designed to promote ethical practice, self-awareness and sustained professional growth.
How is supervision different from mentor coaching?
Supervision explores your practice as a whole - including ethical dilemmas, self-care, client relationships and professional identity - whereas mentor coaching is specifically focused on enhancing coaching competencies and performance against ICF standards.
Who leads the group supervision sessions?
Sessions are delivered by experienced supervisors, skilled in supporting coaches to reflect, challenge assumptions and maintain professional standards.
Can I participate if I am not an AoEC graduate?
Yes, both AoEC graduates and non-AoEC coaches are welcome to join and benefit from diverse perspectives and structured peer dialogue.
What is the maximum group size and why?
Groups are limited to six participants to ensure meaningful discussion, individual attention and a confidential, supportive space for reflection.
How are sessions delivered and scheduled?
Are sessions recorded or available for playback?
Supervision sessions are confidential and recordings are not provided to protect participants’ privacy and foster open sharing.
What if I miss a session?
Attendance at all sessions is highly recommended to get the most from your supervision experience and support your ongoing professional standards. If you need to miss a session, please contact your supervisor as early as possible.
Options to make up missed learning will be discussed and joining another group to cover the time may be possible, but this is subject to availability and will incur an additional fee based on the number of sessions required.
Can I change cohorts after enrolling?
Requests to transfer to another group are only considered in exceptional circumstances, are subject to availability and will incur an additional fee based on sessions required. Remaining with your original cohort is strongly encouraged to ensure continuity and the best possible peer learning experience.
What is included in the programme cost?
The fee covers all four group supervision sessions facilitated by an AOEC supervisor and administrative support.
Why is there a graduate and non-graduate rate?
AoEC graduates receive a preferential rate as part of AoEC’s commitment to lifelong learning and alumni support.
Do prices include VAT?
Fees are listed exclusive of VAT, which will be added as applicable in your region.
Is a payment plan available?
To make accessing the programme easier, you can spread your payment over the first four months. All fees must be fully settled by month four, while you’ll continue to benefit from supervision sessions over the six-month period.

Cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to AoEC’s programme terms. Refunds and transfers are managed on a case-by-case basis in line with standard policy.
